OK so originally I interpreted this as “a pairing you would enjoy seeing Marceline and Bubblegum swing with”, and I came up with Terezi/Jane/Mom (which I totally ship, Terezi and Jane are justice detectives together and Mom just swoons in their arms and argues about the merits of pink vs red with Terezi) where Bubblegum, Jane, and Mom go on a date in a Cake Laboratory and explore the SCIENCE!!!! of SUGARY BAKED GOODS!!!!!, and Marceline and Terezi just go around together sticking their tongues and fangs on anything red they can find

and I do think as an extension of this, Terezi/Vriska and Marceline/Bubblegum would be a good very fraught/tense/interesting double date option because there would just be a lot for them to share and that “we were angsty exes then we weren’t then we were now we aren’t” REALLY INTENSE on again/off again drama in common where when they’re off again they believe they’re IN HATE and when they’re on again they’re IN LOVE!!!…so yeah that could be fun, with Bubblegum looking to Vriska for sympathy when their girlfriends start licking red stuff, all “aren’t they so distasteful?” and Vriska is like smashing eight balls on the table and cackling to herself about irons in the fire and Bubblegum is just like “never mind. what the fuck in my life.”

so that would be good.

And also hmmmm Donna/Kory would be a super good double date option because they’re the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of Terezi/Vriska, they are just a super lovey functional unconditional relationship and I think it would be good for Bubblegum and Marceline to be around that. Hey look it’s another princess and starry night queen together for life but all they do is smile and cuddle and it would rot your teeth if they weren’t so good at helping you talk out your own problems over milkshakes and bowling, without you even realizing what’s happening.
